What this temple is known for
The main Khatu Shyam shrine in Nagpur, rated 4.8 from about 1,800 reviews. Visitors single out the carved stonework. The Monday schedule is unusual: the temple stays open straight through the afternoon, when the others in this list close.
Worth knowing before you go
Thinly documented: no trust name, no founding year and no festival calendar appears in any source we could find.
Festivals here
This temple does not publish a calendar of its own. Shyam Baba is honoured on the same days everywhere: Phalgun Mela in spring, the janmotsav on Devuthani Ekadashi, and every Shukla Ekadashi. Crowds in Nagpur follow those dates.
The original temple
The shrine all of these follow is in Khatu in Sikar district, Rajasthan, where the head of Barbarika is said to have been found.
